What is Atlas Orthogonal?
Atlas Orthogonal is a low force technique used to effectively improve your immune system and give relief to pain and discomfort without the use of manual adjustments. The Atlas Orthogonal adjustment is given with a table mounted instrument that emits 6 pounds of pressure to correct a subluxated Atlas.
Atlas is the first bone of the cervical spine (neck) also known as C1. If the Atlas bone is subluxated or misaligned, it can cause the head to deviate to either left or right. The body then begins to compensate for this misalignment by drawing up a shoulder and/or drawing up a hip. This causes immediate pressure on the spinal nerves that can effect the function of the rest of the body and/or cause pain.
A misaligned Atlas can be the underlying cause of many headaches, vertigo, dizziness, neck pain, shoulder pain, back pain, and can even be causing allergies.
Atlas Orthogonal Chiropractic is so gentle it can be used on children, elderly patients, and people with spinal fusions.
